I had all good intentions of doing the same,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but as usual my old friend Ms. Procrastination showed up at my house. Ah yes, Ms. Procrastination and I go way back. As far back as I can remember,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Ms. P (as I sometimes fondly call her) was always there for me whether I needed her or not. No sooner had I made up my mind that I was going to sew the pants I had been meaning to get to for the past 3 months, there was that old familiar knock at my door. Should I answer the door or let her freeze out in the cold?
A wintry mix of snow and rain forced me to cancel our monthly fashion sewing group meeting recently. In doing so,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I imagined that some people would take advantage of this found time and put the pedal to the metal to whip up something on their sewing machine.
It got me thinking about creating my own bucket list. I guess I sort of always had ideas of things I wanted to do before I leave this earth,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but never actually put any of it down on paper. So here is my official list:
I have to admit though that Ms. Procrastination can be nice to have around sometimes. For example, we pulled out "The Bucket List" I had rented, popped it in the DVD player, and snuggled under the blankets to watch the movie. In case you're not familiar with the movie or what a bucket list is,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], this movie is about two terminal-cancer patients who become friends, create a list of things they want to do before they kick the bucket, and then take off on a road trip together with the intent to fulfill their wish list before they die.
A deep voice bellowed out,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], "Hello! Remember me?" I swallowed hard and then unable to fight the inevitable, extended my arm to shake hands with Mr. Financially Challenged. I noticed the many pieces of luggage and several trunks beside him. Agh! This was going to be a long visit! With both Ms. Procrastination and Mr. Financially Challenged under my roof, things have gotten awfully crowded and somewhat dismal,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but I'm optimistic that the mood will change soon. I just put in an emergency call to my distant twin cousins,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Do-It Now and Git-R Done,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], known to many as the consummate party crashers, but they always know how to get things done.
Before I could decide,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Ms. P's persistent style showed that she was not about to be ignored. The gaps between her knocks grew shorter and more frantic until I couldn't stand it anymore. I had to let her in, I thought. Otherwise, she would just drive me crazy. So I relented and opened the door. Ms. P settled in and made it clear that she was far too comfortable to leave anytime soon. I had forgotten all about those pants.
When Ms. Procrastination fell asleep after the movie, I tiptoed over to the computer to begin planning my bucket list to-dos. Suddenly, there was another knock at my door. I thought who could that be? I opened the door,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but the snow and wind made it difficult to see the figure at my doorstep and an overwhelming bad feeling swept over me.

Now it's time to get your message out there. In order to do this, you need to make marketing and client attraction a priority. Schedule business development appointments with yourself and hold them as sacred as client appointments. The best way that I've found to do this is to create your yearly, monthly, weekly and daily schedule. For me, Mondays and Thursdays are my business development and marketing days. Tuesdays and Thursdays I block out for coaching appointments. Figure out what works best for your business model and stick to it.
Master the art of the "soft close". Nobody likes pushy people. And for that matter,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], most people don't like being pushy either. This is where knowing who your ideal prospects are and having compelling marketing messages targeted to them comes in to play. Because it allows you to pre-qualify anyone who contacts you. You can get on the phone with a prospect and find out what their situation is - what they're struggling with. Find out what they've already tried that worked and didn't work. Find out how they imagine their life being as a result of working with you. If they are an ideal prospect, get them to see how you can achieve those results together! There's a lot more to the soft close that I go over with my coaching clients,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but this gives you a great start.

Almost like magic, within less than 8 months,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I had filled my copywriting and marketing business to full capacity with several retainer clients and a few regulars as well. I was at the point where I had to actually turn people away. It was incredible!
I've boiled it down to 5 main steps that I have taught to others who have duplicated this success within their own business as well. It's what I call The Irresistible Marketing System,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and it's the same system that I coach people on every day now. So here goes:
No wonder they're curious. When I see it down on paper, it does seem a little unreal. But before you think I've got it all figured out, let me be truthful with you. It wasn't always this way. I was at a place about a year ago where my business had reached a stale point. After having ups and downs for almost a year before that, it seemed my business had hit rock bottom.
One day, I had just driven 40 miles to meet with a prospective client (yes, I was desperate). On my way back home,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I stopped at a local grocery store to buy some food and panicked when I realized that the $6 in my pocket was the last of our money.
At that very moment, I made a commitment to immerse myself in absolutely everything that had to do with getting clients. I read every book on marketing and networking I could get my hands on. As more clients came in, I took every course and teleclass that was available. I essentially decided to become a mini-expert on how to get clients. I also worked with an amazing coach who helped me take a good, hard look at all the self-sabotaging thoughts I was having 24/7 and helped me to clear them all out of my path.
Take consistent and serious action. Don't make excuses anymore. It's time to get out there in a big way, cultivate more referrals and stop being the best-kept secret in your field. This means creating goals and taking consistent action each and every week to grow your business. Write and publish articles on a site like ezinearticles.com, give talks at groups you belong to in your area of expertise, network on a regular basis. Do whatever it takes and hold yourself accountable. If you don't, no one else will.

Respond quickly to questions. Instead of putting an email off, answer it once you receive it. If you need to research a topic let the sender know. This gives them the common courtesy of knowing their email has been received and is being worked on.
Instead of just writing the words as they pop into your head and then hitting the "send" button without even reading them, take time to plan the message. Many businesses have strict electronic communication policies that prohibit inappropriate content and clearly state that information created and distributed from workplace computers is the property of the company. 3. Don't skip breakfast. How else can this be made clear except repeat what has been said long before the Internet: Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Not only does this supply you with the necessary nutrients to start your day, it also keeps your metabolism running so you burn fat easily. One of the most classic examples of how our energy vibrates out from us was illustrated in one of Cesar's Shows,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. During our coaching sessions, our exploration revealed that Karen felt less capable than the people around her. This had been a problem for many years and was now a major problem in college. Even though she was capable of making good grades, her social ineptness held her back academically as she had a difficult time participating in class or speaking with her professors if necessary. Though the subject itself has only really come under investigation in the last 100 years, it has been covered in so many ways by some many different people that there are entire shelves in bookstores devoted to this very subject. Unfortunately, this makes for a whole lot of confusion for the average health-seeker.
The main problem with our combo-abombos and "gourmet" meals, (raw or otherwise), is that different foods digest at different rates.
